Now that the season is over it's time to put the car on axle stands and do some subtle changes for next year with the help of long time sponsor Peter Knight of Knight racing services and Jon Webster of Webster race engineering.Today though I took the car out for it's final drive for this year, popping to the supermarket for some video footage for the CCSE video"Hardcore Street"(details available soon) and some photos for the Express and Star newspaper. The paper have promised me they'll do a better job than last time.......Going to the supermarket was fun,the weather was fine and It still amazes me how many people crowd round the car wherever I take it,nobody believes it's really a road car, until I drive off in it that is.............

Once again apologies for no news recently. My workload and trying to get the car sorted has meant late nights in the garage. The engine is now sorted, the reason for the bent valves is a combination of things all stemming from the new heads having way bigger combustion chambers. It now has a healthier compression, proper length pushrods and the rockers are centred over the valves. All in all it means I'm confident of having some performance back at the Doorslammers.I've also got some new nitrous ideas that I'll be trying over the weekend(hopefully I'll get more than 2 full passes!).If I do as good as I did at the last Doorslammers I'll be well chuffed.
See ya all there...
